Termination in Adrian Peterson Issue

Can my boss fire me for allowing Adrian Peterson to use the bathroom?

Well, yes. There’s nothing about this situation that triggers any laws prohibiting discharge, such as discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower protections, etc. Letting someone into the restaurant at 3 AM probably violated company policy, and is thus legitimate grounds for termination. In this case, McDonald’s reinstated the employee after the media got a hold of the story.

The real question is, why was Adrian Peterson at McDonald’s at 3 AM?
