Attorney Dinsmore has been my lawyer for over two years now, and has always provided me with the very best legal advice. He is committed, passionate, and his entire staff is great at communicating.

Marissa F.

Even when I was a kid, I knew that I would become a lawyer.  At that time, I was too thin and asthmatic to excel at sports, so I directed my competitiveness towards winning arguments, and in figuring out how to persuade others.  I became an employee at fifteen and worked a steady series of jobs bagging groceries, running cash registers, cleaning bathrooms, delivering newspapers, folding towels, fighting forest fires, and moving furniture.   By the time I started law school I wanted to be an employee rights lawyer: I had seen too much workplace injustice.

I have never been able to tolerate powerful people who use their power to take advantage of those with less.  Unfortunately, this happens all too frequently in our workplaces.  We all know stories about workers who were fired illegally.  Who were denied wages that they earned.  Who were sexually harassed by their supervisors.  Who were terminated when they got “too old,” “too sick” or because they got pregnant.   Many of us have experienced this oppression firsthand.  I made it my business to settle these scores on behalf of the victims – to bully the bullies.

I represent workers in nearly all categories of employment litigation including class action/collective action and individual wage and hour cases, sexual harassment, workplace sexual assault, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and family/medical leave violations. My practice includes helping workers throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut.

I graduated with honors for Western New England University School of Law in 2006 where I served as assistant editor to the Law Review. Prior to entering private practice in 2008, I worked as an Employee Rights attorney with Western Mass Legal Services in Northampton and Springfield, MA.

I was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in the field of Employment Law in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Super Lawyer Rising Star nominations are based on independent research, peer endorsement and are offered to only 2.5% of attorneys practicing in Massachusetts. In 2020, 2021, 2022, I was selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the field of Employment Law.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, bicycling, tennis, gardening and playing traditional Irish music on mandolin, tenor banjo and Irish bouzouki.

He was communicative about updating me throughout and generally available for questions. He got me the outcome I was looking for. I would absolutely recommend his services for anyone in need of counsel in the area. Thanks Raymond!”

Raymond and his firm helped me through a job transition in a most supportive and realistic manner. Atty. Dinsmore was very knowledgeable about the true legal issues vs. emotional reactions to a job transition. I highly recommend his firm for employee-employer resolutions and the stress-free experience working with them.”
